Well, thanks to all of you here, I am ready to get on my new bike and start riding a lot more serious than I have before.

I would like to set a goal for myself and since I have lost 2 family members to the big C, I would like to start riding for this good cause. I am in Greensboro, NC, how can I find a bike fundraiser (for next year) so I have a good amount of time to prepare for it.

If anyone can point me in the right direction so I know where to look.

Thanks again everyone

Cycles de'Oro may be able to point you on this (assuming you have not already tried this route). As you are probably aware, Dale Brown is very active in cyling and supporting this sport, as well as most fund raising events centered around cycling.
