Well, it's getting dark out awfully early and daylight savings this weekend isn't going to help much. Any suggestions on "to see" headlights for less than $100? I've looked around Amazon a bit (over $600 for some of these things, are you kidding me???) and there are TONS of them for $75 - $100. Let me know what you've got experience with.

My small town of ~900 people doesn't have enough street lights that I'm comfortable riding too much at night, unless I were to just bike up and down the main drag a bunch of times. But it's less than 1/2 mile long. And since I live outside of town, it's 1/2 mile of total darkness until I get there.

I use an L&M Solo, and it's excellent for seeing in the pitch black fog along the Sammamish River Trail at 5am.

There's a huge light sale at Bike Nashbar right now, and the Solo is $109.

Here are two great threads to look at. I just recently used info from these two before I made my purchase of a Cygolite Dualcross Li-Ion (http://www.cygolite.com/2-Products/1-DualCross-LiIon.htm) ($200ish).

For that price range, I think I might look at a Fenix light or two (probably helmet mounted).
