Fifty Plus (50+) - Whatever happened to sex, drugs, and rock n roll?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Whatever happened to sex, drugs, and rock n roll?
Sex - Yes, please (I have to beg a lot now)
Drugs - Cialis, still waiting for that 4 hour woodie they promised.
Rock n roll - I prefer sweet rolls.

I do have to admit that the stuff my parents used to listen to sounds much better now than it did then and the stuff my kids listen to sounds waaaaaaay worse. Sex is still good but what i REALLY miss are the days when hardly anyone wore bras, whatever happened with that anyway?

I was listening to a hard rock station on the radio this afternoon. The DJ was dissing the PT Cruiser as ugly and a car that was just for older people, "you know, 50 - 60 year olds. Hey, bring me my walker, sonny".

I'm 60. Rode 45 hilly miles yesterday with a bunch of "old guys". Will ride 45 hilly miles tomorrow with the same bunch of "old guys". AND I was listening to his hard rock station. I shoulda called him.

Sex:
I'm heading out shortly for a weekend trip to central California to meet up with a long-legged blond athlete. We'll be competing in a duathlon on Saturday, and participating in some indoor sports the rest of the weekend. ;)

BTW - one clear advantage to being single...more sex, and you don't need to beg. :D

Drugs:
Coffee, Creatine, and some pain meds for the stress fracture I'm dealing with (running sucks ). And if you offered me a toke, I'd toke.

Rock & Roll:
On my 4 hour drive I'll be listening to the new Springsteen CD, plus some classic Pat Benatar, Pink Floyd, etc.

Once a hippie, always a hippie, I guess...

This was the first image that came to mind when I read your post. Sex will do wonders for the pain.

UGGGHHHH... birthday cards are some of the most ageist crap on the planet. I always buy blank cards and write my own notes. Can't stand commerical birthday cards...(he says in his grumpiest geezer voice.)
