Hi all,
Here's a new product that some students from Boston University are working on. They need some information from frequent bikers to help with their product. Here is a link to their survey. Thanks for the help!:D

Ehh... I do not think that is a "new" product.

Well whether or not it's a new product depends on what one might be able to charge while riding. I've certainly not seen a bicycle generated Ipod charger for sale in the LBS lately. And if it could be rigged to charge your 12V 5000Ah water bottle battery while you road... And yea, I know you can build your own, but some of us would spend more money than it would take to buy one off the shelf if we tried that. Anyway, kudo's to them for taking on a cycling related project.

School of Management... this looks more like a business case project than anything else. :p

I think if you regularly ride long enough that you need to recharge your iPod and cell phone then perhaps you need to reconsider your priorities. :) My MP3 player and cell phone go days between charges. It's really no problem to charge them at home (a lot easier than lugging around a thing on my bike).
Now, if they made a bike trainer that I could use to charge stuff or power stuff then THAT would be super cool. I always feel like I'm just wasting energy when I'm spinning the trainer.

I don't like riding with a lot of electronics. What the world needs is an elegant device that powers high-powered lights.
cheers
