Ok, don't know if anyone else got the package, but I received today a new Grey T shirt, & two certificates stating that I had finished the 100 mile ride. Not that I mind, but is everyone who attempted the century getting one of these?

p.s. - we've surpassed 10,000 views - wow...

No, I have asked for mine Twice.

My shirt, and certificate came today. Before I opened it, I thought it was the new fundraising kit for the 2009 ride. Anybody else signed up for next year yet?

I received the shirt and one certificate. My certificate is the "Top Family & Friends Team Award". I didn't make 100 miles:(

I registered early for the Yountville/Napa Ca 2009 ride, and I got a long sleeve "Rider In Training" T-shirt in the mail today. It's black. Maybe they should use hi-vis yellow?

Congratulations, you look great in that jersey, and your bike appears well kept considering the miles logged.

It does appear your bar tape is fading, likely will need new before next ride in Indy:thumb:

I thought my mileage would increase after I retired but it's been just the opposite. Winter has arrived in Ohio and I've been spending all my time on house projects I never had time to do when I was working:( Oh well, spring is just around the corner.

What type of motorized vehicles? I hope it isn't cars:twitchy:

We let cars on some of the wider bike paths here in Florida as well
http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/e/5/a/3/event_6718787.jpeg

It's just the entire US Interstate Highway system that's off limits to all non-morotized vehicles. I guess that's part of the master plan to ensure the country as a whole conserves energy.

They still have no problem letting us ride beneath the palms though, so not all is lost

Our Bike Paths are The Roads and Highways. There is some feeble attempt to have some, but they only last about 1/2 of a mile. So on a 75 Mile Ride we don't use them.

Nothing cooler than riding on the highway! We just had a Time Trial on the closed section of a major highway here, one day before it opened. Yep, I've caught the racing bug!

Finished 106 out of 125 in the Cat 5 class. Not bad for my first one! Congrat's Fred - I wish I had the time to ride that you do!

I didn't realize there were no paved bike trails in your area. I'm spoiled by all the trails around here even though I usually bypass them for the quiet country roads:)

I was looking into this ride and came across this thread, my six year old son was diagnosed last week with type 1 diabetes, so first of all I'd like to say thank you to everybody who participates and helped raise money! Second, I'll most likely be riding with you folks in 2009, I look forward to seeing the team page set up.

Hope you have a speedy recovery Tom. Team Stormcrowe is behind ya all the way.

I have not been able to get on in awhile, dang I hope he gets better soon! It so sucks to be down, especially this time of yr when every nice day that happens along makes you want to get out and pedal even more! Nice days are so few and far between now, I tried riding a little around here but the snow is just too much.

I recieved my fund raising kit yesterday, bout time! Did anyone you know volunteer to help out last yr? My wife wants to do it but she wants to be on the track, with her hubby, so maybe she should sign up for the lunch tent?

My packet came in the mail as well. It's nice that they put the volunteer sign up sheet along with it. Last year, we had a few volunteers from our team help out with the event. If I remember correctly, they all were within the track for their work.

Hmmm, I wonder what the status of our team is with Tom getting hurt and all. Hopefully he is still able to captain us even if he's not able to ride. We had the top family & friends team last year, and it would be great to repeat that.

I am riding from my house in Mishawaka to Sryacuse, In. then around Lake Wawasee and back this May, it'll be a good 90 miles, if anyone is interested in riding along let me know. It can be a warm up for the big one! I'm currently rebuilding an old Schwinn World for the ride, Its just a bare frame for now, but by the end of Feb. I hope to get it done and tried out.

My early registration has already paid dividends. :thumb:

Looks like I'll be getting a special t-shirt in advance for having raised over $100 already. I'm also in the running for a $100 Visa gift card which will be raffled off between the folks who also have raised the same.

There are still spots available for the drawing. Come on guys & gals, lets get our butts registered. :) :thumb:
I was assured by the Tour folks that if you register as an individual, you will still be able to switch to the team once it is registered.
