Got the New Felt F-80 Wednesday. Went for a 20 mile ride this afternoon.
Awesome Ugly Yellow Spider Bike. 2 to 3 mph faster then the Old Heavy 83 Nishiki.
Believe I can Finish the Indy 100 miles. Bike photo at my 1/2 mile practice area.
I love the yellow. It's one of my favorite colors.

The Felt is a Beautiful piece of work.
The Yellow is Great and Bright, Black trim with some red here and there.
Black rims, spokes and tires
Better yet, is the ride. It is an awesome machine.
Shifting is fun with the drifters. 27 speed.

No on Clipless. The straps seem fine. I would do clipless if it was cheap. But finding the proper fitting shoes might be expensive for me. The $800 bike was a big reach for me.

Nice ride you got there Ten. Definately colors I would consider for my next bike purchase, if I ever decided to indulge. For now I'll be sticking with the old blue, and black Flyte SRS3.

I still have toeclips on my Schwinn, but after feeling the difference in power transfer AND foot comfort, I'll be changing those pedals out rather quickly as well. That's just my choice though ;) He says "yet", like it's inevitable...

Tom, is it my understanding this is the inaugural ride on the track? I thought last years was there, too. Also, any chance our team photographer can get up on the flag stand?

This is the first time Indy has offered the 100 mile event. That's the inaugural aspect. I'd have to check about access to the flag stand, but that's not real likely. ;)

For upright bars, yes, but for drop bars and a forward position like the Felt has, it would cause nerve damage .)

Love those Felt's! My deal with the Specialized fell thru; now I'm really digging the F75. If the LBS works with me, we'll have the crew that "never Felt better".

The weather here is finally beginning to feel like spring. I'll be riding in the morning with the park biking program then doing a club ride of 30 miles later in the day. Sunday will be the usual 30 mile breakfast ride. I need to be ready for TOSRV in May. If I can make it through that ride I'll be ready for Indy:)

My club (http://www.wpwbikeclub.org) has started up a charity ride training program this year. First session is actually tomorrow, so I'm going to go and check it out. I'm behind on my actual training, but I kinda wait for the clubs ride calander to start filling in, then go from there. From looking at this months calander, there will be plenty of opportunity to get my base built back up. I've also got a few organized rides on schedule to help test myself, and get ready.
Remember, think positive :D

I have been very fortunate to be training with a guy (65 y/o) who has done a non-stop 100 miles in 6 hrs 20 minutes. He eats and drinks every 20 minutes while on the bike. Two weeks ago we started out and went 28 miles before stopping.
It is getting hot here, Had heat marks on both ankles after the last ride.
See ya, if I don't wear the bike out before the track ride.

Naw. The First 20 laps we can practice drafting.
The last 20 laps we can crank it up to the finish.
I am not fast, just enduring to the end with you.

Now, if I drop down onto the aerobars, I won't be drafting or drafted. No brakes then and really twitchy handling of the bike.

I should be much stronger after today's ride. I did a 54 mile ride and the last 20 miles were straight into a 15-20 mph headwind:eek:

Wow! I figured that 100 positions would have filled quickly. I may have misinformed a fellow rider yesterday that it was filled. The good news is, I have her email addy, so if that changes, we may (depending on her schedule) have a new team member. :D
