Like the title says: can you turn a NiteRider Minewt X2 Dual in to a NiteRider Minewt X2 single? Looking to get one but want a dual on the road bike and single on the mountain. If I get the dual can I do both?

Thanks for the answers. I suspect I shouldn't make my own Y junction to hook two singles up to a Minewt as I suspect the current draw would be too great (I assume the Dual comes wired some special way from the factory or uses a different battery.) I'm going to go with the single Minewt and if I later find I can Y in a second light I'll buy the single light and do it then.
