Best Softshell Pants under $150??

What is the best Softshell pants for under $150? Can't find the Marmot ATV Scholler WB or Scholler Dryskin + 3Drypants.

* Did some new fabric take it's place?
* Will XC skiing or Snowboarding pants work OK for high winds, temps below 32F (0 C), high RPMs?
* Any longer pants out there for people with over 30' inseams???

I like Sugoi Firewalls. Don't know if they are the best but they work very well. Mine are slightly loose fitting which works best as they are warmer and allow for a lighter weight tight underneath in really cold conditions.

The sugoi firewall are most likely too warm for Seattle winters.
I use a choice of 2 tights I use for Vancouver. Cold tights, and cold pouring rain tights. Both are from MEC.

The dry ones have a windproof fronts and lycra backs. I wore them all winter one year, but the backs of lycra let water fill up my waterproof socks from the top.

The rain ones are very thin, and untaped seams so as long as its cold and rainign you dont sweat too much.

MEC also has softshell pants, but ive never worn cycling so your on your own there

I've only used the rain pants once or twice so far (just got them) but they worked very well. They're cut quite long to fit over boots and such. I'm sure if you talked to Lou, you could have them as long as needed. They're very comfortable riding around.

I'm running the REI Acme. Nice, but you will need akle straps due to poor design at the bottom.

I just wear pants. The plasticy water resistant ones. Under neath i usualy wear cotton tights... Long under wear pretty much. And of course the usual under wear, what ever you prefer.

These are water resistant, pretty thin, slightly fleeced on the inside and stretchy. I bought them and wore em twice before my operation and they were great.

Hey vr: been wearing these for years, often too hot. sporthil XC 3SP. They have many different types most under 100. The higher priced ones are warmer and more wind proof, but all are excellent.

I live in Seattle (well, Burien, but I commute daily to the Seattle Metro area) and wear the breathable rain pants from http://www.bicycleclothing.com/ (J & G Cycle Wear). A pair runs $80, and the inseams run to 34". They're comfortable and well made by a company in Eugene, Oregon.
