When looking at BMX bikes I see that some say they are ment for street riding, trail riding, or both. The street bikes and the trail bikes looklike they are built just the same! Is there a big difference? (I am looking at Eastern brand bikes).

Will a street bike still perform well on trails? And will a trail bike still do well on streets and skateparks?

Sure, except the tires are different.

There used to be a difference. Back in the day, the chainstay's were longer and the top tubes were generally longer. They were made significantly lighter with smaller diameter tubing.

Sprintcarblue is right, thats mainly how they are now. Fuzzbox is posting without actually knowing the answer. Although with stock bikes there isn't much difference
