Hi, I see there is a ride going up Mt Tam next saturday, but that is a bit far and too much of a time commitment for me. I do have a few hours free in the morning though and would like to get a nice ride in.

One of two routes comes to mind:
1. a loop N on Foothill, climb up to skyline on OLH, kings mtn, or page mill, then south on Skyline to Hwy 9, descend to redwood gulch->mt eden-> stevens canyon and back down.

- or -
2. a "deep south" excursion up Almaden -> McKean -> Calero Reservoir -> Uvas Canyon or Bailey and back.

In any case my goal is to start from Campbell/Willow Glen in the "easy" morning (8-9AM) and get home by 1-2PM. Anybody want to join me?

Whaddya think? weather report is encouraging:

A STORM SYSTEM CURRENTLY OFF THE PAC
NW COAST WILL MOVE INLAND EARLY SATURDAY AND DRAG A COLD FRONT
TOWARD THE N PORTIONS OF THE CWA. AS A RESULT...RAIN CHANCES WILL
INCREASE OVER THE N BAY MID MORNING AND SLOWLY OOZE SOUTHWARD
THROUGH OUT THE DAY. THE GENERAL TREND OVER THE PAST FEW RUNS OF
GUIDANCE IS TO SLOW THE PROGRESSION OF THE FRONT. THIS MEANS
SOUTHERN AREAS MAY NOT SEE ANY PRECIP UNTIL MID-LATE AFTERNOON.

Not sure where you're starting from Sean, but I'm basically going to head down to Camden->Coleman->Almaden Expy and up to Mckean. Does that work for you?

blah, I am going to ride my commute route tomorrow morning first thing. I dropped my phone somewhere along the way and I can't rest until I search in daylight. Brand new Sidekick Slide :(

I'm up for option 1 ride. I would probably just meet up at Foothill/Homestead by Chain Reaction.

I'll probably do a ride starting mid-morning, around 10 or 11 ... got some errands to do in the morning before I can have play time.

I'm going to head as far as Kings Mountain to get in a few more miles.
