wow - I thought it was odd to see fixies (coversions) in my neighborhood the last 12 mos or so - lately I've seen lotsa nice bonafide track bikes around too. But in the last month or so a tall bike has been parked on my block ...... changes keep on comin' around here!

i had a dream the other day that i was riding around in chicago with my dog in my burley, and i saw oprah winfrey...on a tallbike. i called her over, and her bike was freakin awesome. me and her then took off on tallbikes, and ended up challenging the rat patrol folks to some jousting and other assorted freak bike stuff.

oprah was hardcore.

You know, I can see that happening...Somehow I think Oprah would at least check it out. I wonder if anyone has ever asked her?

I saw my first tallbike in Little Rock this weekend, riding near the River Market. The coolest thing was that I recognized the rider. :) She was leading a pack of cyclists, some also riding tall bikes.

Another new one on my ride home last night - on the road salesmanship!

as I headed east thru an industrial area, a guy about 30 or so yelled as he pedalled west past me that 'his' bike was for sale - and he made sure to point out that it was "A SPECIALIZED!!!!" whoa!

It was an old rigid mtb in very nice shape. How do these thieves keep finding all the plum old steel rigid mtbs?

I've seen guys on streetcorners selling bikes.....this was the first time I've gotten a sales pitch and demo all at once!

So, would Phil Donahue ride a recumbent?

I see old rigid mtbs used at restaurants all the time - when u see a nicer one, you can pretty much bet it's been bought from thieves......so keep that Fuji locked up well.

...so keep that Fuji locked up well.

It never leaves my sight when I'm out using it (on old logging roads and trails).

So, would Phil Donahue ride a recumbent?

No doubt in my mind :p .
