Mountain Biking - Broken Justy Rock Shox XC

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I manage to break m Rock Shox Judy XC, I think it is a '95 or '96 model but I'm not certain which year I bought it.
I've taken a couple of photos of the broken parts, and put them online (photo says it all).

If anyone knows where I can source a new or used replacement, either original Rock Shox, or aftermarket I would really appreciate the info. I don't have the funds to purchase an entire new shock, if I can just purchase a replacement that would be ideal.
Thanks,
Rob Gunther

woah how'd that happen?. I think you can purchase a new boot for it but it might be rare cuz its an older model.
I would like to say I was riding really hard, going over this large tree and it broke... but it was damanged in shipping when I moved.
I opened the box, pulled the bike out and noticed it was broken right way.
Of course, when trying to make an insurance claim with the movers they said they did not pack the bike so insurance was not covered (always an excuse!).
Anone got a lead where I could find the part???

the boot might cost more then a new fork so maybe you should look in to a new fork. Get a used fork for cheap. IVe seen judy tt being sold for cheap in these forums.
No way to purchase that part... it's snapped off from the fork. Your fork is toasted dude.
Actually, there is no damage to the fork at all. This piece (unlike newer models) is not part of the fork, it just has two bolts on either side and screws into the forks.
A shame I've gotta buy new, or settle for some unknown forks in a condition I have no idea of.
Probably have to break down and buy something off eBay.

ohhh yeah i remrembe...thats arch can be replace i believe. Gonna be very hard to find that part.
Yeah, I think you'd be better off hitting ebay up. I'm not sure you can even buy that part, and I don't recall ever seeing a fork with a removable brace like that. Most of the ones I've seen have the arch welded on.
Vision,
Contact Rock Shox. Don't hold me to this but I believe that they will replace your fork with one that is similar to you broken one. Just don't mention the movers! Even if you have to pay some shipping or a small fee to upgrade it would be worth it.
No I do not believe they will. The fork in question is beyond warranty issues and there is no parts available for Rock Shox made before 2000.
