Anybody going? (http://www.oregonbca.org/) I already had plans to be in Portland with my bike (taking the train down), so I'll probably be there.
I keep forgetting about it. Hopefully I can get off work at a decent hour. So its in the forestry center, right near the zoo? Cool, Can hop the max up there and then just take the hill back into town.

Take the MAX up to the Zoo. Right across the street is the "World Forestry Center". You can't miss it.
Sweet. Can't wait to check out some Ahearne (http://www.ahearnecycles.com/)bikes,

Train reservations with bikes are confirmed! Is there a spot nearby to consume some beverages?

Yes - one stop before the Zoo on the Max Line. Goose Hollow stop. Try the Goose Hollow Inn. It's a cozy neighborhood spot right next to the Max line.

There are several ways around it. The one going straight up Salmon/Park into Washington Park is a good gut buster for training. Montgomery/Patton is a nice ride that is not as steep, and flattens out at the top when you can go up to Fairmount for some low-traffic spinning, or down Humphrey or Hewett to Skyline. If you're looking for a longer ride, you can go around the West Hills on Terwilliger or Barbur and connect up with Multnomah. That puts you right in behind Alpenrose, then you can just wind up through Canyon Lane to Sylvan.

Take Salmon into Washington Park and follow the signs to the zoo. (Behind the Rose Garden.) It's only 3 miles or so. I ride it fixed 3 times per week at 48x18T.

Sasha said somewhere that he's going to be at the Single Speed Cyclocross World Championship (or whatever it's called) going down at the Crusade race and couldn't make it in time back to the show.

People that ride and walk on Fairmount are idiots.

Watch for the dude displaying the shocker. That will be me. Or should we hold up "bike forums" signs on cardboard like bums?

When I saw them, I just knew you guys would love them. Sorry I'm not a great photographer, and the huge crowd made it worse, but here are some pics of the Hufnagels.

Donna I think this was the Ahearne stem.

It was the Hufnagel. The Ahearne wasn't a complete bike. I also numbered everything so I wouldn't forget which was which. :o They do resemble each other from certain angles, though.
