I'm back to riding in the dark, is anyone interested in joining me?

Tonight I'm thinking about doing a 40+ mile ride...

I can't tonight, but I'd love to ride on Thursday night if you're up to it, John. Chantry?

Okay, then I guess I'll do the Rose Bowl, Lida and maybe St. Katherine's.

Lets do Mt. Wilson tonite. There is almost no traffic at night up there.

I've been averaging around 18 lately give or take...

I'll start from near Rosemead/Huntington over to South Pasadena, up Arroyo, down Colorado, Verdugo, Glen Oaks, Kenneth, Las Tunas, Montrose, Woodbury, New York, Sierra Madre, Michalinda.

Unless I get bored and turn back earlier. :D

Yup. BTW, remember when I made the collect call to my parents from the Hidden whatever Cafe on Angeles Forest? The call cost 20 bucks.

My wife made a collect call from Bonelli Park. She was about 3 miles away and we talked for 1 minute. She was running one of those hot days and doesn't carry her phone when she runs. The call was$34. I called and complained and they said since there was operator assistance the rate went up. It was one of those automated collect calls. They agreed to prorate and only charge me $19.

 How is that possible, John? You were on there for no more than 2 minutes. I'd refuse to pay if I were you.

I thought of that too. It was included on my phone bill. Basically, Verizon was collecting the money for this company.

   OMG! That can't be possible. Who regulates the fees? And I thought it just cost 2 bucks.

Cold ride last night and I was riding a bit slower than I had wanted to, but I ended up doing 46.5 miles.

Sonia was getting worried as I was later than she thought I would be.
