He turns 40 Wednesday November 7. He sounds a bit suicidal. Luckily for him, Europe has stringent gun control laws. Unfortunately they do have enough high ledges for him to hurl himself to oblivion.

Talk botto off the ledge. I tried earlier today. It didn't sound good. I tried the 'hey dude, that's nothing, I'll be friggin FIFTY on Friday' and that didn't seem to cheer him up.

40 is the new 38.

This is the time to watch "Pro" again, the Aussy rider on the team is 42 and just spanks everyone in high speed crits across the US.

Maybe you can get your name on the contentious Humor Gland Transplant Waiting List. Dr. Pete has connections, ask him. They don't offer this surgery in Canada. You'll have to come to Detroit.

Botto, only 10 more years and you can get an AARP membership!

http://www.aarp.org/sk/membership15.html?CMP=KNC-MBR&keycode=U5LAC7

I'm not sure what that gets you - free coffee at Denny's?

Ask pcad for the details.

Joop Zoetemelk was 40 when he won the Amstel Gold Race.

By the time you are 41 I'll find someone older who won a major race.

As long as you can ride no need to cry.

Time to buy that compact crank.

1.) I won't be contemplating a swtich to a compact crank until I'm at least 65.

2.) My crank is compact enough already thank you.

When I was 21 I was driving a Datsun (not Nissan, this was pre-Nissan) 1200 and I lived in my parent's basement.

http://martybugs.net/DatsunMods/pix/mpot_side.jpg

Now I drive a 2007 Acura RDX and own a 4500sf house with 30 mile views on 6+ acres. With the Best Dog on the Planet I might add. 50 isn't so bad. Aging has its compensations. Plus as a married man I get laid once a month whether I need it or not.
