I'm trying to decorate my bicycle and trailer for a Holiday Lights Bicycle Tour. The event is Dec. 19 so i have a bit of time to plan, but I want to really blow away the competition when they give out awards for Best Decorated Bike, Decorated Rider, and Decorated Helmet.
I need help coming up with ideas (the crazier the better) for bicycle decorations.
The best I've come up with so far:
I'm planing to make my flat bed bike trailer into a sleigh by adding painted wooden cutouts on each side. I was going to fill the sleigh with empty boxes wrapped to look like presents. For the helmet, i was thinking some antlers would be classy and go well with the 'pulling a sleigh' theme established by the trailer.
I'm not crazy about the presents as trailer-filler but i have not thought of anything better.
Please post your ideas of other things i could add to make people say "wow" when I ride by. I'm wanting to add lights, sounds, stuff that moves, anything to set my bike apart from the competition.
Bought stuff is great, but I am proficient at fabrication and basic electronics so if your idea is something I could build that is great too.
Thanks in advance,
-Ryan
