Greetings,

Bikes were my only transportation up to my mid 20’s, then a mere recreation until my 30’s when I lost faith to the car. Just a year ago, I rediscovered my interest and passion in cycling. I’m on my fourth bike. I had to sell off the first one, but I keep three busy. They are a Specialized Roubaix Triple Comp, Bianchi Vigorelli, and Dean El Diente. Hey, only one of them was purchased new. I love Craig’s List.

I ride all year round in Sacramento. We have great weather for it, and it does get warm in summer.

I’ve lurked here in the past. Found the forum through Google. And just decided to join up.

Hello nubikebuzz, those are all nice bikes--which one did you NOT buy off CL?

Stop by the regional forums and say hi to the NorCal folks. There's some great fellow BF members in and around the Bay Area, and you've probably passed a few on the American River Trail without knowing it.

Welcome to BF!

WOW, what a collection.

Yep, CL is very tempting on going on a CL bike binging.

It is also sad as you see how some people just do not see the passion in it and just throw the towel.

East Hill,

I purchased the Roubaix new. The Bianchi might as well be new - an '07 with only 30 miles on it in pristine condition. And the Dean is three years old and in great condition, a few minor scratches on the cranks.

Mazpr,

My enthusiasm surprises me! I'm waiting for the bubble to burst. But I don't think it will. So I'm going with the flow.

Thanks for all your comments. I'm looking forward to learning A LOT from the discussions here.

I have never seen a Dean in the 'flesh'. Any photos to share?

Frist let me say that I'm very grateful to the prior owner for selling me his bike. So if you see this, you can see I'm treating your bike with great respect. My upgrades are a carbon FSA Bar K-Wing with Easton EC70 120mm stem and new Specialized saddle. Sorry that this first photo is a bit fuzzy. I still love the Neuvation wheels.

It's all right about the photo being a bit fuzzy, as strict photo guidelines require ALL photos of bikes to show the drive train side :D .

Nice, nice bike--the yellow tyres are a lovely touch.

Errrr...no :p .

The folks in the Classic & Vintage forum know that I always ask for photos...it's a running joke :D .

Proper bike 'porn' always includes the chainrings (and derailleurs on geared bikes)!

Hey, that's what I would want to see.
And on the subject of bike porn, my concept domain name is www.bikebrothel.com. It's available.

Something tells me that my husband might raise an eyebrow over that :p !
