Anyone use the "Slime" line of tube protectors to help prevent flats? Do they work? It looks like just a hard plastic sort of tape that lines the tire outside of the tube or something.
Thoughts or experiences?

Ok it is the only exp I have had with them and it is not really with me....I was on a ride and a friend used them....we were riding 70 or so miles. On our way back and he got a flat....we traced the flat on the tube and the point where it flatted was right at the junction of the slime liners....you could see the impression of the end of the liner.....
He was done...we took them out....
I do believe (as he does) there are moments that a liner will work...but I am not sure MOST of the road/CX flats are in that moment....
