Foo - How do they do this?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I get these little email reminders to pay certain bills. This one from AT&T appears with a tiny logo in the subject line of my Yahoo inbox. Anyone have any idea how they do that? I would like to send my own company logo like that when I email my customers.
It's a virus! Don't open it! :p
I have no idea how to do that, sorry.

Interesting...most of my bill reminders go to my yahoo email too, but nothing I use comes in with little icons like that.
Hmm, isn't that just a linked image? If your email client allows images to be displayed in the subject line with HTML, it would be really simple. Tried that?

I tried to use html and it just showed up as the code and no image

it's not actually "in" the subject line, but just to the left of it when viewing the inbox. When you click on the actual message itself there is no tiny logo.

My guess is that it is the same HTML code that puts a little icon up on the internet explorer page/URL bar (like when viewing this forum.)
Forward the message to an account where you can look at the HTML code to verify.

Use an email program that allows you to embed images. It's the email-program that generates the HTML when you send the mail. Yahoo-mail doesn't allow you to create HTML mail, just view it. You need to use Outlook/Express or Eudora.

It may be a yahoo-specific way of letting you know that the message has been verified to have originated from a company in a list they maintain. Sort of an anti-phishing measure.
I haven't tried the new version, so I'm only guessing.
