I made a couple of these last year and they work great..take an old rain coat or water proof jacket, cut the arms off and sew or tape pockets on the inside big enough to hold two chemical heat packs,(hand warmers)I put two in the front and two in the back when its real cold, what this does is keep your core warm and toasty and let you wear alot lighter clothing,i wear a poly pro shirt the vest then an outer layer of fleese or somthing water proof, just three lite layers and i can keep very warm down in the teens,it works great, hands and feet are warmer to.joe

I use one on the moto and love it. But for bicycling? No way.

Yeah, i don't think that sounds like a very good idea for a torso that is generating ungodly amounts of heat.

Naw, it works fine, there were 3 of us doing it this morning, temp was 32 degrees, if you feel your overheating, just un-zip and cool off, at least the heat is there if you need it!

Ya,I rarely have a problem with being cold.If you are chilled,it just means you aren't pumping hard enough:).If anything I usually worry about overheating!Even at temps of -40.
