From the course description, you could probably run a 53 up front :)

I'll probably be there... I'll do day of reg for a change.

I am.

I'll be on my Blue & Silver Cannondale and wearing a Team Bike Rack jersey in the Men's Cat 4 race. Feel free to introduce yourselves during the day. Looking forward to seeing you all there, and looking forward to a great day of racing!!!

this race was kind of weird but really fun.

it was advertised as super flat but it really wasnt. There were no barriers and the run up could be ridden by those with gears so in theory you could complete the whole race without getting off the bike.

That race was indeed fun, but man, what a devious little course that was. At first it seemed simple because it was mainly all grass with lots of fun ups and downs, but on closer inspection, it was deceptively tricky; it pulled many a rider down to the ground. It was very slick for our race due to the melting frost from the morning, and the ground below the grass was slick and mushy in places. The only times I had to get off was if somebody fumbled in front of me and stalled my rhythm. Oh, and the only other time was when I crashed; a fast slide down onto my side transitioning from the downhill into the uphill on the course right behind the start/finish area.

Still, my favorite part of the course were the two off-camber turns right behind the baseball fields, very tricky, but I stayed on my bike for those. BTW, Lith, you are doing some great racing, especially on the singlespeed. I'm quite a fan of yours now!

Also, if you plan to do this race and just happen to also be a rock climber, bring your shoes and chalk; there is a free-standing bouldering area right by the course. As much as I had to watch the course during the race, it was hard not to glance at that boulder each time I passed by and imagine lines and problems all over it.
