are there any 'sconnies out there that know of cyclocross organizations or races in the dairy state that would be suitable for a beginner?

the WCA (http://www.wicycling.org/CycloCross/crossSchedule.htm).....madcross dot org (http://www.madcross.org/). go and race with the 4's. there are two unofficial races this weekend....one (http://www.madcross.org/2007/2007%20Viking%20Cross%20Flyer.pdf), two (http://www.madcross.org/2007/Devilrace-1.pdf), then if you are in MKE only an hour south is Chicago (http://chicrosscup.com/)....or western Wisconsin (http://www.madcross.org/2007/VMH_cyclocross_race_series.pdf)....in Viroqua

Word. WI singlespeed 'cross state championship this Sunday at the Stoughton Viking Cross, just outside of Madison.
