Foo - How does one get ear tips to stick, not glue hair?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
OK, sort of embarrassed to ask, but how does one get pointed elf ear tips to stick and not grab your hair? I've tried a piece of paper, which sort of did the trick, but not really.

Shave the hair?
vaseline in your hair then put the ears on, then take the vasaeline off.
had to do it for my mom once. try cosplay.com for further tips
Put 1 part of the epoxy on your ear, the other part on the ear tips.
That way they only bond where they touch. It will be permenant though.
Shave your head. Problem solved.
Thank you Mr. Obvious. :)
I was just very very careful. You have to hold your hair out of the way while you place the ear tips. It's the front edge you have to watch out for. If you didn't know, you put the spirit gum on the tips themselves then put them on your ears. :)

Do you find that the ear tips increase your aerodynamics?

Just get your ears surgically altered to always look elfin.
Just be ready to throw back at least five times the smacktalk that will be thrown your way......got laid off from santa's workshop, eh?
Inject some Vulcan DNA. Problem solved.
(Better? :p :D)

vaseline in your hair
Never do this- it will take at least a week to wash it all out.

Aye, I do that, its just hard getting it positioned right, and getting the hair out of the way. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something.
hair too long? I dunno. practice putting them on without the spirit gum so that you know the exact position you need them in.
