Hi all. Any recommendations on an LBS in DC or NoVA? I've been looking for a bike to use for commuting. My commute will be less than 5 miles, but will be hilly (from Rosslyn into the District.) I think I've narrowed it down to the Trek 7.3fx or a Jamis Coda Sport. Any experience with these bikes? My price range is $500-600, knowing I'll need to purchase accessories.
I've been to Revolution in Clarendon to look at the Trek and had a fairly good experience. Have not been anywhere to look at the Jamis. Tried Conte's in Ballston to look at their offerings (other brands), but have not ever had a good experience with their service.
Thanks in advance!

Capitol Hill Bikes is a good LBS. It's at 8th and G SE. Another is the Bike Rack, which is new but I've heard good things about it. It's at around 14th and P, but I'd look it up first.
There's a thread in the commuter forum on the same subject; I posted a link there to the Jamis dealer locater. Capitol Hill bikes is listed as a Jamis dealer. No 1st-hand experience but I've haerd good things about them. I've had very good experience with Spoke's Vienna and Ashburn stores, but you probably want something closer. My son has an older Coda Sport (bought used off Craigslist) and it is a great commuter. Although for an under 5 mile commute, almost anything will work and an old 10-speed or hardtail MTB off Craigslist or at a garage sale would be cheaper and less of a loss if stolen.

I've had good luck with The Bike Lane in Burke, but that's probably a bit out or your way.

If I were to pick a great Jamis dealer in the DC area, it would be Proteus Bikes on Route 1 in College Park, MD. Excellent shop, with great staff and a large selection of all Jamis models.
Just FYI: my Jamis was an eBay find.

Capitol Hill Bikes is a good shop; they're in my neighborhood and I go there first if I think I need something. I've also gotten friendly treatment at Revolution Cycles and the other shop in Georgetown, just across the bridge from Rosslyn. I feel like I should expand my shopping horizons, though.

I'll second the recommendation of Proteus Bikes, I just bought an Orbea Cyclocross bike from them 2 weeks ago, very friendly and helpful

Thought I would follow up on my own original post.
I ended up buying a Jamis Coda at Proteus Bikes. Proteus is pretty far from my home in Rosslyn, but a guy in my office raved about his experience with them, so I went to check it out. While my original leaning was towards a Trek 7.3fx, I bought the Coda as much as anything because of the service at Proteus. I did hear very good things about City Bikes, Capitol Hill Bikes, the Revolution store in Georgetown, and the Bike Lane, all of which were mentioned by others in this post. I even got PMs from staff at both Proteus and City Bikes - turns out guys at both shops are also BFers.
In any case, I think this list we've come up with can serve as a good resource for anyone else looking in the NoVA, MD, DC area. There are plenty of local shops with average to poor service, so it's great to find there are at least a handful that come highly recommended. Another good thing is the shops we've come up with collectively cover a pretty decent range of brands as well.
