I went on ebay and typed in "tandem recumbent".
Only one tandem is shown for sale.

Can anyone tell me the make of the tandem tricylce in the photo? My wife would like to get a tandem so we can ride together. I kind of like the trike idea of sitting side by side versus LWB; front & behind. Do any of you have any experience with this make/trike?

This is the first time I remember seeing it. Since all I've got is the pics to go by, my armchair analysis is, don't get it unless your intended use is 5 mph ambles around the trailer park. If you try to climb any sort of hill, it will likely break, the steering looks dubious, and running it on a MUP would undoubtably run oncoming users right off the path. D&R Tek is apparently a marketing firm which sells anything from video cameras to sunglasses to patio furniture; and this being their only bike offering, they probably don't know any more about it than we do. I'd stay FAR away!

Check out the Greenspeed I posted in another thread, well worth the price IMHO. :D

Hash, if you like the idea of a sociable cycle, you might look into getting a pair of Sun EZ-1s and mating them together with a kit. I don't know if it's available from Sun or just from Bicycle man, but Bicycle Man has a pic of it toward the bottom of the page here (http://www.bicycleman.com/recumbents/sun/sun.htm) (sun shade optional, I'm sure.)

Finding some EZ-1s used would save some green, if that's a concern.
