I'm meeting a few friends tomorrow for a ride up Angeles Crest. We are riding over from different places and meeting at 8:30am at the Shell Station. It's at the corner of Angeles Crest [sr2] and Foothill in La Canada. Join us.

What's the intended route and mileage? AC to Upper Big T and back Big T was as much climbing as my legs can bear for now.

What's the intended route and mileage? AC to Upper Big T and back Big T was as much climbing as my legs can bear for now. It's 27 miles from the bottom to Newcombs. That's about 8 miles farther up AC from Uper Big T but it's not all up. There are a couple of re-group/ rest stops on the way. The pace on my part will be pretty slow:o

Long night at work, didn't get to sleep until 2:30am, which rules out waking up early. I'll make it next time. Have a good ride!
Great ride. Thanks for the company Bob, Laura, and Renee. I was really expecting it to be overcast, but the sun was great, a little cool in the shade above 5K ft. but manageable just the same. I'll post a few pictures later.
After riding Thursday, I was expecting a hazy day, but the sun came out great, and the sky was clear.
I think JPConrad mentioned the park at the bend of hwy 2 just above Foothill as a meeting place. This makes a good place, and there is a water fontain, hopefully in working order.

Thanks for posting the pic Gene. We should have had one of you in Laura's jacket.:) It was good to see you and ,as always when conditions permit, I can't imagine riding anywhere else than in the mountains.

Thanx Thompson, but the scenery's hard to miss. It's not hard to see why Bob is so enthusiastic about the area.
NYG lady, I was disappointed you couldn't make it yesterday. Excuses, excuses.:D:D
