Anyone riding a Selle Italia Gel Flow Max? Looking for a saddle to replace my Spec Alliante which is just not very comfy after 40 miles or so. I routinely go 50+ on my club rides. The Alliante in 155mm fits me pretty well width-wise. The Max is 153mm. I am 6'1" x 255 and ride a Spec Tarmac with my bars about 2 inches below my seat.
I have a Selle Anatomica and don't like it at all. Have tried a Brooks for a very limited time (borrowed a friends) and wasn't really thrilled with it either.
thanks in advance!

I've tried a Flite and ran the Pro Link Light most of the season. My experience is that S.I. saddles collapse under the load of a clyde after a bit. Perhaps that Max Flite is a bit more robust.

I recently switched over from Airone's to the Flite Gel Flow max......I have been very happy with it. No problem going on 2 - 3 hour rides.

I tried a Selle Italia Gel Flite at 220 lbs about 3 or 4 years ago. I put over a thousand miles on it but just couldn't handle the pain. Thing was like sitting on concrete.

+1 I rode a gel flite @ about 215lbs, it was great for about 600 miles then started sweaking and creaking and turned into an *** hatchett.

like a semi hard saddle.....so that it probably why I have no complaints. If you do not like a flite model......look at their XO series. It has a bit more padding and a slightly different shape than the flite series. I rode one of these back in 02-03 and eventually went to a harder saddle ...... but jut short of something that felt like concrete

Jeff? I ride a Gel Flow Flite, I got it around Christmas last year so it has a little under 7,000 miles on it. Did 6 centuries on it this year and it wasn't my butt that was the problem ;) Does have some surface wear but other wise seems fine. I'll be at the PBA rides this weekend if you want to check it out. I may be 15-20# less than you.
