century after my x-mas party again!!!
Ok Sign me up
century after my x-mas party again!!
Yeah, there are only so many days available with our over-committed holiday schedules....
Team Defection rides again?
Hmm...doubt I'll be anywhere near in shape for this. Bummer.
I'm in if it can be a "Slacker Century" pace. This is "Base Mile" season for me while I'm prepping for IMAZ. Of course I can always ride at my own pace and meet you later for burritos :)

it's flat, you can do this again:D

We may be missing some people, so it may be more like Tea fection or something.
It wouldn't be Defection if everyone were present!

At the very least, you can do the festivities the day before, yes?
I'll be there for both...
Count me in!
I'm good for only about 50 miles these days though... anyone want to volunteer to pull me the remaining 50? :o :p

Most likely, Rose keeps our holiday calendar. Hopefully we don't already have something on that date...I don't think we do.
I may be out of town by then. I'll see what I can do with my Xmas flight back to Toronto. :D
Possibly in for the century but not that honking huge ass burrito. I'll leave that to the serious eaters.
I'm not doing this ride. I had 17 flats on that ride, a new record.

17! You kid, I hope.
It's too far (and prolly too late) for me to do both, but I'm definitely in for one or the other.

We're considering/scheduling a Taquito Half Century™ that would either start or hopefully end the same time as the Burrito.
Taquito Half Century is a registered trademark of mateo44.

bring another fixie, I know you banned that "one" to the corner:p

Sounds good to me! :D

It's been a year already. Time flies!

I had almost 2 carne asada burritos at the protested lunch stop, 3hrs of sleep the night before, I was running on fumes!!! Good thing there was some good miles between the burrito stop and Torrey Pines Hill:eek:
The route last year started at the Irvine Train Station. went to the coast and then down to San Diego via the standard routes (PCH, bike trails, Hwy 1)... then we hopped the train back home.
Here's the link (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=231633&highlight=burrito+century) to last year's thread. Doesn't look like the routeslip was posted though...

Is it under online dating, jobs, education, or the store??

Well that's odd. Luckily I went through this routeslip saving phase.

Note that the mileage is off pretty significantly. The proposed lunch stop on this route slip is actually closer to mile 75. We'll have to clear that up before the upcoming burrito century.

You forgot to lead into that with "conveniently located...."
Whats the planned pace for this? I'm down as long as I don't have to put any actual effort to keep my speed up. Wait. What's the start time. I gotta figure out how to get up there.
I am a maybe I have not ridden for about 6 weeks. CJBruin better do this ride I need some help. BTW I talked to Kristine she will do SAG support again!!
Sorry I have to cancel !! I have a scheduling conflict. I really sorry.
100% in for food. still not positive about the ride. i do expect to be ride positive, though.
I'll be in for the food as well.
Not sure about the ride since I remembered I was dragging along badly last year; so it'll be a night-prior decision. :)
I still hope to do this ride, but I'll have to make a decision as to whether I think I can complete a century. :o

I think you can.

Roll time will probably be 7:15am. We'll meet 30 minutes prior....
Pace is usually around 16mph, but sometimes faster and slower subgroups develop.
I might bring my SS out to play that day, we'll see how much I drink the night before;)
Matt, is this the same ride as last year: Start at train station, ride to SD, take train back, go eat burritos?
yah I know now, not to eat TWO carne asada burritos before climbing torrey pines

Oh, that's right. I remember that. I think I had one taco and some rice. You can't go wrong with rice and beans.
no rice and beans for me:D
If anyone is worried about keeping up...don't. I'm doing base (low HR) training right now so I'll volunteer to be the caboose (avg speed 14-15 mph).
