Now I'm actually sad that I didn't ride it. I followed the riders for nearly 40 of the 62 miles, the hilly portion. It was a very nice course. First section was straight across Foothill to the dragstrip at the fairplex and Raging Waters (E St.). The riders had the entire lane while riding Foothill as they had a police escort. One or two cars and a few motorsickles. I heard someone mention the ride was 600 riders strong.

Like always, I took my toolbox and floor pump. I got the chance to aid 3 riders with flats and one sag up Baldy Rd. I spent a big part of my time standing on the steep section of Baldy Rd cheering on the riders. Many struggling riders that seemed to appreciate the ol "C'mon, you're almost there, jus a lil more'! I didn't have any plans of sagging anyone up the hill but ended up driving one guy up. He was at the end of the ride. He was having a very hard time so I helped him out. At the top he asked if I could put some air in his tires. He had 20 psi in one and 40psi in the other. I asked if he had a flat earlier. Nope, just haven't put air in my tires since last week. Oh Brother! You know I gave him the 'check and air your tires before everyride ' speech. He was a newbie and I gave him an earful!:D

I ran into several riders I knew, snapped a couple too. Also spent some time at the postride meal speaking to a few. It was a good time and I'm really sorry I didn't do it, next year for sure! I think this is a ride MANY of you would enjoy! And no, I don't work for the sponsor, just looked like a good ride!

Nice pictures Beanz. Where exactly does this ride start from and ends at? I am thinking that now that my femur/leg is almost back to par, I'll be interested in sometimes going on some of these "organized/charity" rides.

Is this where they shut down a portion of the 210 freeway?

Nope! I remenber a few years ago when they opened the new section of the 210, they had a ride/jog right before they opened it. It was an out and back, maybe 15 'sh miles. That was a one time thingy!:D

Lucas, it started at Memorial Park, just east of Euclid in Upland and Foothill. Traveled west to the fairgrounds, arond Raging Waters. Continued west thru Covina Hills. North back to Foothill, east on Foothill to SanDimas Cyn. Down to Baseline and across to Padua/Monte Vista Ave. Up to Baldy Rd, then down Mtn Ave. At that point, I headed back to the park. There was another portion that headed to Rancho Cucamonga but I didn't follow the ride that far. I believe the RC portion was easier than the previous part. A couple of short tough climbs, some gentle stuf but nothing too hard. Plenty of riders and looked like fun.:D

I remember doing some great night rides on the 210 freeway extension before it was opened.. Nothing but pure pavement and not a single car..

You could ride it from Foothill Blvd in Laverne all the way to Day Creek in Rancho Cucamonga..

Hey Beanz thanks for the pictures. I did this ride last year and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately I didn't make it this time.
