Introductions - New guy from the U.S. Air Force Academy

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, I'm new to these forums, I joined to hopefully find some information that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I have read the forums for a while but could never seem to get myself to join until today. I just joined the U.S. Air Force Academy cycling team as a road racer, and am having a blast so far. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, so I like to wrench on things for my bike and my team. I was really into motocross and cars before I discovered cycling, and realized that being light is a benefit in this sport rather than a hindrance like it is in motocross.

Hello hbutler, my sister and her husband both attended the USAF Academy (a while ago, I should point out). He was class valedictorian, don't remember what year though. She was a year behind him, and yes they met at the Academy :) . I know he was not on the cycling team!
Welcome to BF!
