What would be the difference between a ridge fork that is suspension corrected for a long travel bike vs
one that is suspension corrected for an (older) short travel bike?

Thanks in advance

You mean rigid fork, right?

The idea behind a suspension corrected rigid fork is to try and approximate the axle to crown dimension of a suspension fork. Some suspension forks have more travel than others, and are therefore taller, so suspension corrected rigid forks come in different sizes, too.

An example of a relatively tall (453mm axle to crown) suspension corrected rigid fork is the one Nashbar sells. http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=600086&subcategory=60001183&brand=&sku=13284&storetype=&estoreid=&pagename=Shop%20by%20Subcat%3A%20ATB%20Forks

An example of a relatively short suspension corrected fork is the Surly 1 x 1 (413mm axle to crown).
