Follow this link and just check out the chart. Supposing faith in its accuracy, i think this is the only defence ever needed against "you're going to get yourself killed!" challenges.

Also worth noting, i think, is the last, that is, safest item, in the list. Hunting is another common activity that keeps a reputation for being undeniably dangerous, simply for the one or two high-profile horror stories everybody's heard about hunters killing each other in overzealous trigger pulling, although it's based nearly entirely on stereotype and unfamiliarity.
Perhaps some of you have seen this site before, but i know it was like a victory symphony to me when i found it this afternoon...
