Anyone know about these bikes at all. Where they decent? I saw a chrome frame only and want to know if its a good candidate for my next project if I can get it.

SB,
Do not hesitate. Volare was Schwinn's made in Japan like a Paramount, in '77-'78 only--- but they did not come in chrome. So on that point, be careful. It might be something else with Volare decals.

Pictures please.
I own a pearlescent orange 1977. The frame is a pleasure to ride. In 1977 they were the next frame down from the Paramount, and like Pastor Bob said, they were made in Japan by Panasonic. The entire frame is Reynolds 531.
They only came in Pearlescent Orange and Scarlet.

The Volare is a very nice bike-too bad Schwinn didn't make them years earlier!
I'd buy one if it came my way without thinking twice about it.

The Volare is right up there with the same vintage Paramount atmo. Reynolds 531 with chrome plated head lugs make them very desirable.

It better be "GET IT NOW!" And not "take a look." I'm certain if the size does not fit you one of your C&V friends would be glad to help you recoup expenses. ;)
