Are Le Croco vintage bikes from Canada any good??? In same league as Marinoni????
Don't know - but does it have a headbadge we should see?

I just started a thread on the Framebuilders forum. That one on eBay sure is a beautiful bike and I believe it's one of a kind. Too bad it's not my size.

Yeah, it looks awesome but has a tiny dent on seat tube. Normally, if it has any dents I don't bid.
I know nothing about le Croco's, but I know I'm jonesing for that one. Even the Ofmega cranks are perfect...

what about the dent?
well, I'm no perfectionist, so it doesn't bother me at all...there is no structural damage there, and if it bothered me it is small enough to fill with paint, I'm sure. the ding where the front brake smacked the frame is at least as significant, and every bike from that era has that dent. It is the shipping and duty that has me hesitating (and, I have too many bikes...just gotta walk away...)

Yeah.....$if it sells for $400, that's $520 plus the fees to get it across the border.....$that's too steep for me.

It was pretty...but it went for a total of around $700 when you add shipping and duties/cost to get it here. Seller said he'd declare full value. It went for more than a nice looking Merckx did the other day. pretty, but not worth that price IMHO.

Mmm... for me the final price is extremely dispointing considering the value of the bike if parted out, I would have kept it at that price. I understand your point though, with shipping and customs it can get pretty expensive pretty quick.
Aha! The seller himself! That was an excellent bike there...I thought that the Hetchins bunch had the bike duties all ironed out a few years ago. I guess that this kinda thing is sort of slippery...and they were negotiating with US and English customs, I think.
Congratulations on a pretty good price, at least around here.
