I'm going to be in NYC next week, Sunday through Wednesday (in pedestrian mode, unfortunately...hence the OT in the subject), and I'm looking for recommendations for what to do? I'll be staying near 104th and Broadway, any good bars or other things to do on a modest budget reasonably close to here?

(PS--I know about fixed.gr/nyc... seems a little ridiculous to apply for membership to ask one question)

monday is rat pack hustle on 125 where a bunch of people meet up and sprint for prizes. monday at 8:30 i believe.

but if you like good jazz and like spending a little less, go to St Nicks Pub at 149th & St Nicholas.

And yeah, go spectate ratpack. It is kind of hard to find though if you don't know the area...

The Bunker has a party on the Wednesday. If the sound's good (which is hit or miss), it'll be rad...some live sets from Berlin.

there are no hookers under the queens bridge. they are on the queens side in front of city scapes; the strip club. it's amazing. nothing like looking at pregnant hookers work the track.
