Has anyone made this ride? I know it is a lot of bridges and that kind of scares, but I think it would be a beautiful ride & have a chance to do it next week. I found it on mapmyride.com, but there is no feedback, so I am not sure if anyone has actually tried it.

Lots of people have done it. Most of the route along US-1 has a paved bike trail that runs next to it, but there's about 30-40 miles without it.

There's also some bike tours specializing in the trip (bubbafest, etc).

Any updates on the ride? I would like to do a Florida City to KW ride in the near future and info would be appreciated.

I posted a review on the century page, but forgot to update it here.

The only comment I have about coming from Florida City is, when I was there, they were doing major construction on that road. Lots of delays, lane closures and many, many impatient drivers. A lot of traffic was being rerouted to the rt 5 (drawbridge rd) so much that they were waving the tolls. Saw a couple bikers there, with no shoulder to work with, who looked completely miserable. Be really careful if your going from Florida City down there.

But overall, it was a beautiful ride and I am glad that I can add it to my resume. I am just getting some pictures in & will try to post them later.
