I've been looking very, very hard at the Cervelo Soloist Team which can be had in the States for $1995. Haven't read a bad word anywhere about it and people just seem to love them. RoadBikeReview has 40+ reviews and they're all super positive. There was also a good review on bike sport michigan http://www.bikesportmichigan.com/reviews/soloist.shtml although it is for an older model (2003).
I'm using it as a weight loss incentive - 5 more kgs and I get a new Cervelo!

I looked at both the Talon and the Soloist when I was buying my new bike. I prefered the Soloist to the Talon even though the Talon is carbon and the Soloist in that price range will be aluminum.

I like my Talon, but only with a road bar.
