This may be cheap and impatient of me, however... i'm making myself a simple little toolbag to go on my brooks saddle. The catch is, i'm at a friend's house, and don't have my bike with me. And i forgot to measure the tabs/loops onto which the bag will attach. So, in order to get a response before i leave the sewing maching here, would somebody please do me a major favour. Measure the dimension between the centres of the tabs and let me know. Thank you so much!

Perhaps after its original purpose is disposed of, this thread can become a small home for different brooks bags; variations, DIY or bought, reviews, uses, et cetera.

2007 b17: 112mm center to center of slots. slots are 19mm long.

note slots are angled along contour of the steel frame - they follow an arc, looking from above

so you should make it a it longer to follow the arc - unless you want it stretched out straight.

i imagine this distance may vary by model, or production year

Approximately 4 3/4 inches ~12.1cm.

I used a tape measure on a B-17 saddle, so I can't stress the "approximately" enough.

By using a 13mm wrench, you can loosen the upper spring nuts and rotate the loops so they are in a line in stead of radiused around the back of the saddle.
