03 Specialized Rockhopper

based on these specs, any suggestions on upgrades. What order should I upgrade things in? I've heard that the rockhopper is a great frame with a bunch of crap on it, (crap in comparison to frame...)

so where should i start?? I was thinking of upgrading the brakes first. how does a cheap mech. disc brake compare to a quality v brake? Should I upgrade my deralers? Im fairly newb at the whole bike thing so i need suggestions.

If you're going to upgrade a new bike, why not just get the next model up? It'll probably be cheaper and less hassle.

I'd just replace things as they break or you find a closeout deal on something.
