He did for a few years. That infernal bike that is on ebay is the bike that made him focus solely on Slalom and 4x. The fulcrum was a big time POS.

What exactly was wrong with it? And how did that suspension design work?

The fulcrum frame was somewhat fragile, did not pedal well, shifted like pure and utter crap.
