I think this should be taken to the Utility Bike forum. Obviously the only important question is whether one should use a trailer or an extracycle when deer hunting. Bakfiets could be considered as well.

We're all assuming that the deer has left the mortal world. Maybe this is a photo of someone finding and brining home a pet. Now that would be a ride... a live deer across your shoulders while riding a bike.

I don't need no stinkin' extracycle! Lept off my bike right on the sucker's back! In case there are some PETA's lurkin', the little bambi is just stunned and I do plan on keepin' him for a pet! Wink! Wink!
PS What in the heck is a Bakfiets, and how do you cook 'em?

We have wild deer in our area and Road kill-although not a problem- is not common. However- when it does occur- It makes right mess of your car. A call to the emergency services-(Police-ambulance etc) always seems to be made as the person who owns the damaged car seems to think they need to claim off the Counties Insurance for hitting a wild running animal.
They soon get the right picture when the first vehicle to arrive is a Forest Ranger with a Pick up truck. The deer is put in the back and the driver is given a leaflet in which they are informed that the accident is their fault and they have to claim on their insurance.
Never knew what happened to the deer- but The police get a share of it when it is butchered a couple of days later.

And I wouldn't recommend eating them, they're a bit on the tough side.

I ran face to rack with a nice buck on Saturday night on the Katy Trail, just before dusk. He was eyeballing me, the sun was fading fast, but still legal hunting daylight. I reached into my pack...then remembered the only thing I had with me was a pocket knife. While I could have done a drive-by slashing, I remembered at the last minute that knives are not allowable weapons during the gun season here in Missouri,so I just yelled and he ran off.
Oh, and if you knock off everything between running face to face with the buck and the yelling part, it's pretty much true:D
