Hello.
I live in Madison, WI and I was curious to see whether anyone had biked from Madison up to Sturgeon Bay or anywhere in Door County. I am looking for a good, safe route to take. I would like to plan a trip from Madison to Door County and camp along the way. I'm a total amateur and would really appreciate some advice from any Wisconsin bikers or anyone who has explored Wisconsin trails.

I've not done that trip, but here (http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel/bike-foot/bikemaps.htm) would be a good place to start. That page has a list of maps of all 72 counties (http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel/bike-foot/countymaps.htm) showing bike trails and appropriate roads which is quite good.

Sounds like a fun trip! The Capital Brewery was actually planning a ride from Middleton up to Washington Island a couple summers ago when they released their Island Wheat beer. That ride never happened, but they even got as far as printing up custom jerseys- maybe the route is on someone's desk somewhere? Try calling Capital Brewery and see if they can connect you with the would-be ride organizers? A long shot, I know.

Otherwise, try the maps that Sage23 linked to. They are quite good.
