Southern California - Best excuse to get a bike I don't need

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have it on good authority that at least some of these reasons are legitimate. Now I’m looking for the validiest, mostest legitimat-est one to tell people if I show up with another bike.

No poll needed.

I can't comment until you post the bike in question. (does it rhyme with Colnago CLX?)

This poll is rhetorical. I'm not planning on getting another bike. Um... yeah.

You should have multiple bikes so you can ride when one of them needs repair. I'd hate to miss a ride because my bike is in the shop.

"I need a standard double to complement my climbing bike"

By the spring, a standard double will be your climbing bike.

Do you have to sell the painting to make it a business expense or just have it offered for sale? I thought most businesses could write off expenses whether they gain or lose money on it.

Nope, I don't have to sell it. I would feel foolish giving the receipt to my accountant if I don't though. :p:rolleyes:

"It's a team bike. They gave it to me, so I have to ride it."

That's not on the list, but it works everytime.

Mine would be if they made a 16-37 rear cassette.

I keep buying bikes and have no idea why so I am not the best for coming up with a reason.

But if forced to, I will say "all of the above"

n+1 is a most formidable law of nature. Break it at your own risk (5 bikes and counting)

Joy, in lieu of excuses to buy the bike, how about reasons NOT to buy it? Hmmm? Any?

"I need a standard double to complement my climbing bike".

Then before you click "buy it now", just accidentally switch out the standard double for a compact. :p

Well I DID have to say something about the bright gold object that appeared on my work stand in our sunroom. I don't have a garage I can hide my bikes in :(

Hi,

I think that I'm going to use the "it was a screaming hot deal" with my wife when I get the Bianchi D2 Crono (carbon) TT frame. :o
