I have a quick question about a couple of the roads in the Springfield, IL area since I will be riding thru that area in route across the state. I would appreciate if you could PM me if you live in that area to answer some questions about a road that runs on the east of Lake Springfield. Thanks

Not really but I have never really been comfortable in the city itself. That and I saw some crime statistics for Illinois that made Springfield look a lot worse than I thought it was.

Go to the League of Illinois Bicyclists (LIB) site [ http://www.bikelib.org/springfield/springfield17x22.pdf] to view the Springfield bike map. I was there 4-5 weeks back. Was pretty dead downtown on a weekend.
