Bicycle Mechanics - Aviation Lubricants

I've got 2 new bikes, a Trek 1.5 and a Giant XTC-850. I have fairly unlimited access to aviation style lubricants. Should I keep this stuff away from the bike.

You can't set anything down without hitting a bottle of CLP (Break Free) around here. Used for gun cleaning and lubrication.

I bought a gallon of LPS1 (aviation industry lube) on sale for a real cheap price, and I have used it as lube on my bikes with no issues. The only thing is that I lube my bike right away after my rides. LPS1 is a really light lube, but it works well for me.

lube is lube, if it's good enough for airplanes, it' gotta be ok for bikes. the only thng I know of that is sketchy is wd-40, (designed to keep water and ice off of rockets to reduce take off weight), it evaporates and won't last but a few miles. I use it only for cleaning stuff

Any lube of the right type and viscosity (light oil, light grease, etc. as needed) is suitable for bike use as the demands for load bearing, rotational speed and heat tolerance are laughably low compaired to a lot of other uses these lubes are designed for.
