Hey n4zou did you ever order one? If you did what is your opinion. I have a trike with single side mount front wheels and a tail fairing. It isn't possible for me to use a bottle or hub dynamo. Perhaps a bottom bracket dynamo but I live in very rainy area and question slippage.

I never did. I found out that the drag with lights off is not much less than with lights on. The drag is less than a bottle or BB type dynamo but more than quality hub dynamos. If I were going to be using it on a commuting bike I would go for one. For my touring bike; no. I use a bottle type dynamo on it so there is no drag at all when disengaged. Considering your wet situation I would go for a real hub dynamo. Of course on the plus side for the Pioneer dynamo it will crank out 770mA! Using a high power LED such as a Cree or SSC you could easily equal the light output of a 20 watt MR-16 halogen light.
