Pacific Northwest - Historic Eugene Bike Plan Film

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This film, in two parts on Youtube, was made in the 1970's to promote a bike transportation system. I'm happy to say that this vision has been realized, and is much loved and used. The film is pretty funky, cars and bikes are pretty interesting too:D

Blast from the past!
Some of that was scary to watch--the bit with the train and the tracks in particular  !
Thanks for the links :) .

I tried to stay with the traffic lights on Pearl, from 5th through 13th. (In the early 70's)
In the evenings I cruised everywhere.
I used to ride downtown in the 60's, before they built the mall.
I don't think I ever rode my bike to school. You would have had to lock it up outside in the weather. Mostly it just wasn't cool.
