Do you need special tools to remove forks froma BMX bike. If not how do you unscrew it out of the headset. Thanks.

If you have a threadless headset then all you have to do is
-loosen and remove screw and top cap located on top of the stem
-loosen the stem bolts that secure it to the fork
-remove the stem
-slide any steer tube spacers and upper headset parts off of the fork
-slide the fork out from the bottom

if you have the older style headset with to nuts located below the stem
-loosen the lock nut
-loosen the stem bolt and remove the stem out of the fork
-remove the lock nut and adjustable nut for the headset along with the bearings
-slide the fork out from the bottom

Thanks for your reply, I had to tap the spacers and bearing cup up. I was trying to unthread them like my old road bikes. There off now I got 3 frames all missing something gonna make 1 good bike thanks again.
