I'm new to this city and would loooooove any tips you might have regarding good bike shops, good riding trails/routes, or any other T. Bay specifics you might think of. Thanks!

You need to hook up with the Black Sheep (http://www.blacksheepmtb.com/) or the Thunder Bay Cycling Club (http://www.tbaycc.ca/). The Black Sheep run road, XC and downhill series each year, while the TBCC is more into touring.
All the shops in Thunder Bay are good, and the cycling scene is very active and knowledgeable. It's a great city to ride in. And if you're heading west to the Rainy River area, check out out the Borderland Bicycle Club (http://borderlandbicycleclub.googlepages.com/) and come riding with us.
