cranky old dude

4 A.M., dark, cold (32 degrees F), and I'm getting to be very slow.
The only riding I've been doing lately has been back and forth from the job.
Round trip, 11 miles or so. I better get to riding the Airdyne in the
basement again or it'll be a long Spring getting back into shape.
I only live about a mile and a half from Lake Ontario and since the water
is warmer than the air, winter starts out a few degrees milder here than just a
few miles to the South. Of course, the South side of the city warms up a few weeks
earlier in the Spring, which is frustrating. Anyway,by the time I got
about four miles from home this morning, the shiny puddles weren't making waves
anymore, they were making crunchy sounds.
Oh dear, here come the long, dark, cold commutes again. Sigh !!!!! :(
